This two in one ceramic taper candlestick holder with a built in secret matchstick stash and striker was wheel-thrown and hand carved in my Chicago studio. Made slowly and intentionally on the pottery wheel, each piece carries subtle variations that reflect the touch of the hands that formed it—no two are exactly alike.
The creamy glaze has bits of brown speckles and toasty edges showing through. It’s perfect for everyday use or as a sculptural accent on a shelf, dining table, altar, or bedside. Designed to hold a standard taper candle.
The matches in the photographs do not come with the candlestick holder, but you can purchase them in my shop. The matchstick holder under the candle holds two inch matches.
